My first map ever created in ArcGIS contains the world continents with color gradients to show the
varying populations. I was excited to actually get my hands on the program and begin fiddling, if you will, with all the different features and functions. I was constantly saving and using different functions to see what the outcome will be. The best way to learn something is to be hands on, right? It wasn't without blunders, but fortunately this is what the save function is for. Although this is only skimming the surface of what the program is capable of, I felt a sense of accomplishment when creating it.
