For this module, we looked at unsupervised image classification. This can be done in either ArcMap or ERDAS, with the delivered map being completed in ERDAS. With the image provided, an Unsupervised Classification was started. With 50 classes created, each pixel was selected to change the color along with changing the class name. Once complete, the classes were recoded as they could be merged into similar classes. From here, the total area was calculated along with the percentage of surface being either permeable or impermeable.
